A lifelong participant in sports Roger still plays soccer in Millar’s North Shore Soccer League, which he has been the Co-President of since 1996, and helps coach for his children’s soccer and lacrosse teams. His love of sports made his ten years of service on the North Vancouver Sports Advisory Council a very rewarding experience. Roger Chaired the Field User’s Capital Fund during this time as well as serving two years on the District Parks and Natural Environment Advisory Committee. The Bassam family spends a lot of time outdoors and it’s a good bet you will find them on a local soccer field or out walking with Lucky at Bridgeman Park or one of the District's other dog off leash parks.
